Why are your prices similar to a casual dining restaurant?

I prepare entrees, side dishes and desserts, etc...specifically for you and only you.  I spend time shopping for high quality ingredients.  Food is not mass produced, and is customized based on your tastes, nutritional needs and/or allergies.  
Do I have to be home for our cook date?

No.  We can let ourselves in, do the cooking, leave your meals in your refrigerator or freezer, clean your kitchen and let ourselves out.  Of course, if you feel more comfortable being home while Iwe fill your house with the aromas of gourmet cooking, that's perfectly fine as well.
How are my meals packaged?

We can package meals in disposable plastic containers or in reusable glass dishes.  If you choose for us to store your meals in reusable containers,  the cost for a 5-meal set is approximately $100-120.  After enjoying the meal, they can be washed in the dishwasher.  Should you discontinue the service, these dishes will be yours to keep.  Disposable container fees are approximately $15 per cook date. 
What if I have a food allergy or intolerance?

We have experience cooking for those with allergies and intolerances.  In fact, two of Chef Kristi's sons have severe food allergies, so we're very familiar with checking labels for allergens in all of the ingredients that we cook with, as well as adapting recipes to be allergen-free.
Am I limited to the choices on your menu?

Certainly not!  The menu on my web site just gives a sampling of the menu items that you may find on your dinner table.  We have hundreds of recipes in our catalog, or, if you have a certain recipe of your own that you would like us to prepare, we'd be delighted to do so.
When do I pay for the services?

WeI'll meet you in advance of our cook date to discuss your food preferences, storage preferences, tour your kitchen, etc...  Once we set a cook date, it's customary to give a deposit to cover groceries and the service fee for the first cookdate.  If you have scheduled weekly or biweekly service, you will always be paying 1 cook session ahead.
Do I need any special equipment in my kitchen?

We bring our own pots and pans, knives, cutting boards, utensils, cleaning supplies, mixing bowls, etc... to your home to use to prepare your meals.  
Why doesn't your pricing include the cost of groceries?

Because we offer everything from lentil soup to lobster, the price of our clients' groceries varies greatly.  In order to give you maximum control and flexibility, we charge for our services only.  We pefer this very transparent  way to do business.  We leave you the receipt for the groceries at the end of each session.

A personal chef serves several clients--usually one per day--and provides multiple meals that are custom-designed for the client's particular tastes, dietary and food allergy requirements.  These meals are packaged and stored according to the client’s needs to be enjoyed at their leisure.
How long will you be in my home?

Because all your meals are prepared from scratch with great care and attention to detail, we will be at your home anywhere from three to eight hours depending upon the number of entrees.  We are willing to accommodate what works best with your schedule or situation..
